Because poise, the way it works in this game, it doesn't favor any weapon class, and by not favoring a weapon class, it inevitably in turn favors: weapons with the highest DPS, weapons with the highest poise DPS. And that's not big weapons. It's small weapons. And buffs, not working as they do in 2, also favor small weapons.
Not a bug, time is convoluted in dark souls (it's latency and you can just google it or search here on the dark souls forums and you'll find one of my prior in-depth explanations for it so I don't have to type it yet again). TL;DR Git gud. You have backstab invincibility when standing up, but it is canceled the second you do something.
There’s just not much depth to souls pvp & backstabs atleast add some layers to it making it enjoyable for the people who choose to invest time in the pvp Pig makes a good point. Not to mention the transition from pve to pvp in all souls games flow nicely because of it. The ONLY problem with backstabs is the reward vs risk.
A community dedicated to Dark Souls I, game released for PC, PlayStation 3 and 4, Xbox 360/One, and Switch (Remastered). I cant backstab while locked on, when i
Thats just lag yeah. In the original Dark Souls, you'd be 6 feet away and then get teleported into a Backstab animation. DS2 is much better this way.
The other issue is, when you quit the game, you get sent back to the menu screen with the "press start" prompt. You press start and before you can even quit the game, it has to check to see if it can connect to the servers. Of course, I just force quit the game, but I don't want to do that, and of course shouldn't have to.
Im sure a lot of you guys who played Dark Souls 1 saw this happen a bunch. The new backstab mechanic in Dark Souls 2 doesnt allow this. It's funny how a lot of the weird online mechanics in Dark Souls 1 were such a happy accident - sure they were broken, but they came together in a way that it wasnt nearly as frustrating as it could have been."
CO-OP Play Dark Souls Remastered: In order for you to enter your friend's world as a Phantom and help him, you have to do some in-game work: 1- Go to Network settings, then in the matchmaking password section, select the password and give it to your friend to enter. 2- Obtaining White Sign Soapstone: After killing Taurus Demon and talking to
Yes, but if it didn't work like that, getting a backstab would be heavily dependent on connection. Dark Souls 3 doesn't need even more ways of punishing aggression, and no game wants mechanics that sometimes just flat out don't work when properly executed.
Try to be close to the enemy for a backstab, the closer the better. Also, when sneaking up to an enemy who is unaware, be sure to walk, and having armor that doesn't make noise is better. Shield down. Backstab. Practice it on the hollows in the Undead Burg. Shield down = Not blocking, right ? I've tried countless times but I can't pull it off.
