HowTo Step 34. Remove camshaft seal using extractor tool 3240. Inspect camshaft for possible groove from old seal wearing on camshaft seal surface area. Lubricate the seal lip of cam seal with clean motor oil and using tool 10-203 tap new cam seal into place. If a groove existed on the camshaft, locate the new seal a few millimeters outward
Tightenthe bolts mounting the timing belt guide. Tightening torque: 9.75 N·m (1.0 kgf-m, 7.2 ft-lb) Tighten the crank pulley bolts. (1) Use the ST to lock the crank pulley, and temporarily tighten the crank pulley bolt. Tightening torque: 47 N·m (4.8 kgf-m, 34.7 ft-lb) Install the front timing belt cover (B).

Removethe 13mm nut on the tensioner pulley. Do not lose the washer. Slide the belt off of the water pump, then take the belt off of the rest of the components. Remove the tensioner. Remove the three 10mm bolts from the water pump. These bolts have a weird thread to them, so do not lose them. Remove the water pump.

2014jetta tdi timing belt cjaa. Anyone know where I can find a good write up for replacement instructions with torque specs and all that good stuff. This, plus the fsm (s) from erwin is the way. The fsm is difficult to follow and super by the book but has your torque specs. Before buying, I'd give it a read to see what bolts need replacing.

Iam having a hard time with the timing on my 2010 Caddy. (BLS) After much struggling I replaced the belt, set tension and torqued everything down to the correct specifications. At this point, I torqued the three camshaft sprocket bolts to 25nM and removed the camshaft and crankshaft locking tools.
